About Me
I’m a practicing artist, illustrator, graphic designer, whatever I feel like calling myself on any particular day. I like making characters people can laugh at, share adventures with, or be inspired by.
Most of my illustrations and designs are reasonably representational but with an unfinished, unpolished, lived in texture. Some of my pieces have smudges, eraser marks, and sloppy lines. These marks and blemishes highlight the character, uniqueness, and beauty of my subjects. In the flaws and faults lies the character of my work.
When my work is seen, I want the viewer to be unsure of how old or new it is. It’s not that I want my work to have a timeless quality, but more of a sense of nostalgia. A sense that maybe it’s been seen before, or something like it, and it will be remembered.
